Severe reaction if you consume even tiny amounts of alcohol \u2013 including in mouthwash, vinegar, or some medications.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Nalmefene:<\/b><\/span> nausea, difficulty sleeping, headache, increased sweating, or anxiety.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em><b>Serious risks \u2013 requires emergency medical attention<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Allergic reaction:<\/b><\/span> <\/strong>rash, itching\/swelling (especially of face\/tongue\/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Liver damage (all three drugs):<\/b><\/span> dark urine, persistent nausea\/vomiting, extreme fatigue, yellowing eyes\/skin, abdominal pain.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Severe psychiatric reactions:<\/b> <\/span>depression, suicidal thoughts, confusion, hallucinations, or paranoia.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Infection or implant rejection (rare):<\/b><\/span> spreading redness, fever, pus, or implant extrusion.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Who should not receive these implants?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Current opioid use (for Naltrexone\/Nalmefene) \u2013 may cause sudden, severe withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Active liver disease or elevated liver enzymes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Untreated mental health conditions (e.g., severe depression, psychosis).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Allergy to any of the active ingredients or implant material.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Pregnancy or breastfeeding (unless approved by a specialist).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Taking certain medications \u2013 especially metronidazole, isoniazid, phenytoin, or warfarin.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Crucial warning \u2013 Disulfiram:<\/strong> <\/span>You must abstain from alcohol for <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>at least 12 hours before implantation<\/strong><\/span> and for <span style=\"color: #000000;\">up to 14 days after the implant<\/span> stops working (typically several months).
